SF firefighters help distribute toys to kids in need

SAN FRANCISCO

The holiday program is sponsored by the firefighters union and the Department of Child Support Services. Firefighters collect the toys during the year and then come to City Hall to help distribute them.

"It brings a warm feeling to your heart when you see a young person who is able to see Santa, get a toy and you know come to City Hall and visit; they smile and cry and laugh and so it makes you feel warm, it makes you feel warm to give something back," firefighter Floyd Rollins II said.

This year dolls, basketballs and footballs were the most popular toys.
