X-mas symbols removed from Sonoma County buildings

You won't see angels or stars on Christmas trees at Sonoma County buildings.

The acting county administrator has now ordered those and all other religious symbols removed after a complaint that the decorations violate constitutional protections.

The person who complained is a Santa Rosa veteran and atheist who has a history of such protests.

The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that a Christmas tree is not a religious symbol, but can take on that meaning if it's decorated with such symbols.
