Week-long furlough begins for Concord city workers

Christmas Eve is the first day of a more than a week-long closure of Concord City offices.

The city is furloughing workers from December 24th to January 3rd to will help the Concord City Council balance the city's budget.

Police and fire operations will not be affected, but the police department headquarters and the city's southern police substation will be closed to the public.
