DIY Spa Treatments:

Aromatherapy Salt Bath - Dim the lights or put the candles on and fill up your bath with Himalayan Bath Salt, (benefits with the tides of the moon, the Full Moon lets your body absorb the minerals and the New Moon detoxifies the body) The essential oils that you add will have a soothing nature.

Recipe:

• 2cups - Pink Himalayan Salt
  
• 6 drops essential oil
  
• Soak for at least 20 minutes
  

Salt Scrub -exfoliating body polish for the winter months of dry heat. The primary goal is to take away the dead cells on your skin but it also hydrates because it is combined with slat and oil to give your skin a glow. The body polish can be done in the spa with the Vichy shower or a homemade scrub can be fun to customize at home.

Recipe:

• 1c - fine sea salt - Baleine or Himalayan (don't use simple iodized table salt) you can substitute using sugar or coffee
  
• ½ c oil - grapeseed or sweet almond oil
  
• 5 drops of essential oil - lavender, grapefruit, spruce or rosemary
  

Foot bath with the eucalyptus salt scrub - warms not just feet, but whole body when you're getting pre-flu chills, clears sinuses, exfoliates and stimulates the nervous system. And it's not too much work; simple! You can also make your own exfoliating body scrub, customizing it with different essentials oils. Essential oils of plants contain highly vibrating energies that stimulate and invigorate us.

Deep Breathing: Remember to take some time for yourself in this busy season of giving: Lie down in a quiet spot for just 10 minutes, cover your eyes with an herbal eye pillow, and take some nice, deep breaths into your belly - focus on pushing out your belly button while inhaling, less on raising your chest - and imagine fresh, rejuvenating oxygen entering each one of your cells, even your hair. There is great power in Visualization!
