SUNNYVALE, CA --
A newly inducted Sunnyvale City Council selected the city's 59th mayor at its first meeting of 2010 on Tuesday night.The seven-member body selected councilwoman Melinda Hamilton to serve as mayor of Sunnyvale until January 2012, spokesman John Pilger announced in a statement following the meeting.
Councilman Christopher Moylan was selected as vice-mayor and will serve a one-year term.
