Cole White surrendered one day after a judge issued an arrest warrant.
The attack happened early Sunday at the Blue Lagoon bar in Santa Cruz.
Police say white yelled profanities about the victim's sexual orientation then attacked him.
The victim suffered bruises and cuts.
