In large letters, the bracelets display the message, "I love boobies."
Some students say they were told by school staff they could not wear them anymore on campus, but on Monday a district spokeswoman called that a misunderstanding.
"They did not tell them they could not wear them," said Tabitha Kappeler-Hurley. "They told them they could not be inappropriate with them. So, if a kid were to act, unfortunately, in a jeering manner or harassing manner, they could not be allowed to do that because obviously we can't allow any students to feel harassed."
The bracelets are sold in stores, with part of the proceeds going to breast cancer research.
