The FTC says some clothing and linens that are labeled as bamboo products actually are actually made from rayon. The FTC says the rayon may be produced using ingredients from bamboo, but it is processed with harsh chemicals. And it is up to retailers to label the items truthfully.
Retailers like Wal-mart, Target and Kmart received the warnings. They say they are considering the FTC warning. Target says it does list fiber contents on the packages.
