Text message campaign aimed for expecting moms

A new baby campaign launched hopes to use text messages to improve the health of expecting mothers and their babies.

"Text for Baby" allows mothers-to-be to sign up for weekly messages timed to their due date, with tips on subjects like nutrition and immunization.

The texts are approved by government and health experts, and the goal is to reduce premature births.

To sign up for the free service text the word "BABY" to 5-1-1-4-1-1.

Cell phone companies have agreed to waive all fees for receiving the texts.
