A Valentine pen pal love story

About Jennifer Jones Lee:

Jennifer Jones Lee joined the KGO Radio News department in 2000 as South Bay reporter. In 2002 she was named co-anchor of the Noon News and in October 2004 promoted to the coveted position of Morning News co-anchor.

As both a reporter and co-anchor for KGO Radio, Jennifer has received numerous awards from the Associated Press and Nor Cal RTNDA and has been honored by the Radio and Television News Directors Association with the National Edward R. Murrow Award.

Lee has taken her work on the road and has covered many major news stories for KGO Radio. Hours after the 9/11 attack, she was on a bus to Ground Zero, talking with a broad cross-section of Americans along the way, and getting a sense of a country in shock and yet united in resolve. Jennifer co-anchored the Noon News from Ground Zero for a week after the attacks.

Having barely unpacked her bags from the 9/11 reports, Jennifer was off to Los Angeles for two months to cover the San Francisco "Dog Mauling" trial. Quickly after that, she was again on the road following Arnold Schwarzenegger up and down the state in his bid for governor.

Jennifer was the lead reporter covering the twists and turns surrounding Scott Peterson's murder trial.

Jennifer married Army Cpt. Scott Lee on November 21, 2009. The couple now lives in Belmont with their hound dogs Shasta and Scarlett, their cat Savannah, and their one-eyed fish named Willie.
