PG&E crews responded to a gas leak in Clayton overnight, a utility spokeswoman said.

The leak was reported at about 9:50 p.m. after a vehicle crashed into a gas meter behind the Cinco de Mayo Mexican Grill in the 5400 block of Clayton Road, PG&E spokeswoman Brandi Ehlers said.

Utility crews were dispatched to the scene and capped the leak, Ehlers said. Crews are scheduled to return today to replace the meter.
