The library will be closed between Sunday and March 21 while crews install an automated materials handling system, automated materials return, and self-checkout machines.
No library materials will be due on the days the library is closed.
The library has converted its collection of books and other materials from barcode inventory technology to a new radio frequency identification system, which will work with the new equipment to improve checkouts and get materials back on the shelves more quickly, according to city officials.
