The Federal Trade Commission says bad guys are cramming fake charges on to phone bills at an alarming rate.

On Monday, the commission came down hard on a San Francisco based company and its subsidiary companies.

It is alleged Inc 21, operating under that name and Net Opus, Jumpage Solutions, Go Faxer and other names ripped off consumers to the tune of nearly $20 million.

The company is accused of tricking consumers or just out right lying and then placing monthly charges on phone bills.

7 on your side attempted to reach the company today but the phone lines rang busy and an email was not returned.
