Ebert lost his voice following surgery to his thyroid and saliva glands.
He now speaks through special computer software, which he demonstrated on Oprah.
Ebert will headline an event called "Roger Ebert and Friends" on May 1, 2010 at the Castro Theatre, as part of the San Francisco Film Festival.
Ebert made some Oscar picks during his Oprah appearance Tuesday. He's going with Sandra Bullock for best actress, Jeff bridges for best actor and "The Hurt Locker" for best picture.
