Debunking Wine Myths:
Myth #1 - Screwtop means it's no good. All New Zealand wines are now bottled in screwcap, many other top wines are.
Myth #2 - It has to be expensive to be good. There are top performers under $20, and some way under $20.
Examples:
DeLoach Russian River Zin, $16
Mionetto Prosecco Sparkling, $16
Ch St Jean Sonoma County Pinot Noir, $20
Myth #3 - Sparkling wine is only for toasts and special occasions. What?! Wednesday, or any other day is special enough! And with great bubbly values like Prosecco ($16) you can afford to enjoy them often. Added bonus: they go with all the stuff we like to eat like sushi, Chinese, Tex Mex, spring salads & BBQ.
Myth #4 - You need a different glass for every grape. After 3 years testing glasses, I am convinced otherwise. You don't have to add a wing to your house to have the right glass to make the most of your wine, you don't have to spend a fortune on the glasses, and buy ones that you can put in the dishwasher! Wine is complicated - stemware doesn't have to be!

About Andrea Robinson:
She is one of only 16 women in the world to hold the title of Master Sommelier and the first woman to be awarded Best Sommelier in America. A three-time James Beard award winner, she is the author of five books on wine and food, including Everyday Dining with Wine and Great Wine Made Simple: Straight Talk from a Master Sommelier. Her television credits include Simply Wine and Pairings with Andrea on Fine Living Network, and her current show Local Flavor on Delta Air Lines, for whom she serves as Master Sommelier. Andrea is set to roll out her new stemware line, The One, at Macy's and other retailers.
About The One, Stemware:
1 stem for white and 1 stem for red that optimize all wines. We spent 3 years developing and testing the prototype shapes against the best stems out there and they outperform even the grape-specific stems for which those stems were designed, e.g., the Bordeaux/Cab smells and tastes better in my glass than in the Bordeaux/Cab stem by Riedel, Schott, etc. We tested them with all styles, prices and ages of wines (literally thousands of wines). With The One you don't have to add a wing to your house to have the right glasses for your wine and you don't have to spend more on glasses than you do on wine. They even make everyday priced wines taste more expensive. They are dishwasher safe, lead-free, break-resistant, and retail $49.99 4-pack. They launch in the top 100 Macy's this month.
