Church shooting suspect appears in court

RICHMOND, CA

Eighteen-year-old Marcel Buggs is facing attempted murder charges after being indicted by a grand jury.

The deputy district attorney says Buggs and two juveniles entered the church and shot two teenage brothers; they survived. The district attorney says the shootings are gang related.

Buggs was appointed a public defender who says she will need time to look at the charges. He will be back in court next week to enter a plea in that Valentine's Day church shooting.
