Thursday morning, Anna Maria Castello picked up a 911 call from a man who had pulled to the shoulder of Interstate 580 near Livermore saying his wife was in labor.
Costello talked the father through the delivery, telling him how to tie off the umbilical cord.
"So many times our calls end in tragedies, and to have a miracle like this happen and to be part of it, to have a front row seat, not that I really did much, but to have that front row seat was just amazing," said Alameda County Dispatcher Anna Maria Castello.
The new parents don't want to talk about the delivery, but Castello says she's grateful to hear that mom and baby are doing fine.
