A new device that will let you conduct credit card transactions with your cell phone is hitting the market.

Square is a tiny plastic device that plugs into the headphone jack on smartphones, iPads and iPod touches.

You can swipe a credit card across it and pay for goods and services by sending payment to another user's account.

Square's developers say the transaction avoids the fees banks charge for credit card transactions.
