State Senate Majority Leader Dean Florez Tuesday called on state regulators to do more in response to customer complaints about PG&E SmartMeters.

Florez says the California Public Utilities Commission needs to be more proactive and work to prevent problems.

He called for uniform reporting standards among all utilities about their smart meters and he demanded that all customer complaints be resolved within three days.

Florez sent his demands to the CPUC Tuesday and is awaiting a response.
