Fremont prays for more jobs

FREMONT, CA

Monday morning, dozens gathered at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Fremont to celebrate the recent agreement between Toyota and Palo Alto electric carmaker Tesla to re-open part of the NUMMI auto plant.

The group also prayed for more jobs.

Starting in 2012, Tesla will use a small part of the factory to build an all electric sedan and initially plans to hire about 1,000 workers.

When Toyota closed the plant on April 1, 4,700 NUMMI employees lost their job.
