Joseph Mendoza, 13, was last seen Thursday afternoon at the Central School.
Police say he had been called to the principal's office and may have been worried about discipline issues.
His parents called police at about 9 p.m. on Thursday.
Joseph was wearing a white shirt with long blue sleeves, jeans, and white sneakers, and had a skateboard with him.
