About "Zeke and Luther"
15-year-old Zeke and Luther are lifelong buddies who are determined to become world famous skateboarders. Fame and fortune are a long way off, but these boys dream big and are undeterred by nay-sayers and wipeouts. From the team behind the Emmy Award-nominated and BAFTA-winning Disney Channel series "Even Stevens," Matt Dearborn and Tom Burkhard, the new Disney XD single-camera comedy follows Zeke and Luther's enduring friendship and the outrageous adventures they have on their way to fulfilling their dream.
Zeke and Luther live in a mythical Northern California beach community called Pacific Terrace where they can be found chilling in the sunny driveway out front, perfecting skateboard tricks in an alleyway behind a nearby mini-mall (dubbed "ramps plus") or cruising down to the pier overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean, on the primary mode of transportation, skateboards.
Quick to challenge the boy's claim to being the best skateboarders in the neighborhood is friend and foe Kojo, also 15. Kojo's got a big attitude and a big mouth, and takes great pleasure in taking Zeke and Luther down a peg whenever he can. Another thorn in their side is Ginger, Zeke's 12-year-old sister who finds her brother's skateboarding dreams childish, to say the least.
Zeke is a born leader and the brains of the operation. In many ways an average kid, Zeke's got a messy room and could be getting better grades, but when it comes to their skate boarding aspirations, Zeke is a taskmaster. The only thing that could possibly distract Zeke from his training is the crush he has on his new neighbor from England, Olivia.
In sharp contrast to Zeke, Luther is the decidedly unconventional one of the pair. Kind-hearted, sensitive and easily distracted, Luther always looks to his best friend Zeke to get them out of a jam. They have an enduring friendship.
"Zeke and Luther" stars Hutch Dano ("Ramona and Beezus") as Zeke, Adam Hicks ("How to Eat Fried Worms") as Luther, Daniel Curtis Lee ("Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide") as Kojo and Ryan Newman ("Hannah Montana" and "Zoom") as Ginger.
The series is executive-produced by Matt Dearborn ("Even Stevens," "Beverly Hills, 90210,") and Tom Burkhard ("Even Stevens," "Caroline in the City," "Full House"). "Zeke and Luther" is produced by Turtle Rock Productions, Inc. It carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.
