Report: Airline food poses health threat

WASHINGTON

Documents obtained by "USA Today" shows meals are prepared in unsanitary and unsafe conditions,. Those conditions could lead to food-poisoning outbreaks.

FDA inspectors cited numerous catering facilities that prepare airline food for suspected violations.

Problems included food stored at improper temperatures, unclean equipment, workers who practice poor hygiene and in some kitchens mice and cockroaches were found.
