The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Columbus Avenue and Grant Street, an area known for its nightlife.
Both victims are expected to survive.
After police showed up, an officer reportedly fired a single shot at a suspect who pointed a gun at them. Tthe suspect gave up before anyone else got hurt.
Investigators are not tying this incident to any of the clubs or bars in that area.
