Oakland teachers investigated for helping students cheat

July 23, 2010 12:00:00 AM PDT
The state education department is investigating whether some Oakland teachers have been helping students cheat on the state academic performance test.

In one case, they found a Skyline High School biology teacher who allowed students to use their textbooks to find answers they didn't know.

In another, a Redwood Heights Elementary teacher checked off incorrect answers on the test and allowed students to change them.

Any disciplinary action will take place after the summer break.
