Santa Cruz County to make decision on SmartMeters

Santa Cruz County supervisors are deciding whether to put a hold on the installation of any more PG&E SmartMeters.

They'll vote on a resolution for a moratorium through the end of the year. It would only apply to the unincorporated areas of the county.

Supervisors say the community has questions about the radiation emitted by SmartMeters.

They want a team to study the data and have PG&E pay for it. Watsonville and Fairfax in Marin County have passed similar moratoriums.
