The crash was reported at 5:58 a.m. near the intersection of Hegenberger Road and Leet Drive, an Oakland fire dispatcher said.
The motorcyclist collided with another vehicle, Oakland police Officer Holly Joshi said.
The motorcyclist was taken to Highland Hospital, Joshi said. She did not have any additional details about the victim or the extent of the injuries.
Both southbound and northbound Hegenberger Road will be closed between Hegenberger Court and Hegenberger Loop until noon due to the crash, she said.
Traffic is being diverted to 98th Avenue while the road is closed.
