Teens robbed at gunpoint by masked duo

REDWOOD CITY, CA

Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 600 block of Spring Street at about 8 p.m.

Two teen boys, ages 15 and 16, were standing on Spring Street when two suspects approached them. One wore a black mask and the other had a black bandana over his face. Both were wearing black hoodies pulled over their heads.

One suspect pulled out a handgun and ordered both victims to the ground, police said. The pair then stole items from the victims' pockets, along with their shoes and a bicycle.

The armed suspect pistol-whipped one of the victims, causing a small cut on his head, police said.

No other injuries were reported.

One of the suspects, a 17-year-old boy, was apprehended in the 400 block of Chestnut Street with the stolen bike.

The second suspect is still outstanding.
