14-year-old to be tried as adult in rape, stabbing

Police say a 14-year-old boy accused of raping and stabbing a teenage girl, and stabbing her toddler brother, will be tried as an adult.

It happened early Sunday morning at the girl's Vacaville home. Police say the suspect, identified as Alexander Cervantes, entered the victims' home and woke up the girl. He is accused of raping and stabbing the girl, and attacking her 18-month-old brother.

The girl and her young brother are recovering at UC Davis Hospital.
