A shipment of around 1,500 boxes of books arrived at the soon-to-be-opened East Oakland Community Library on 81st Avenue.
Construction on the public library began back in 2008. When it is complete, it will be the city's largest library. The branch will feature a full range of modern amenities, meeting rooms, and also a cafe.
Its grand opening is set for January 29.
