Affordable tools to help you get more organized

Tools can go a long ways when it comes to sorting, storing, and organizing what's in your home.

"We've come up with several efficient essentials to help you organize your home," said Sara Lyle of Good Housekeeping.

Good Housekeeping loves the interlocking drawer dividers from Rubbermaid. You can customize the drawers to fit your needs. They're great to store clothes, but they're also good for the office and kitchen.

"We used this lazy susan turntable to organize spices, but you could use it in your bathroom to organize toiletries," said Lyle.

Once everything is organized, pick up a labeler, like the one from Brother. That way you'll always know what goes where. And what paper you don't want to keep, shred it. Staples has a jam-proof compact shredder that sells for $80.
