Crews are having trouble salvaging a fishing boat that ran aground in Half Moon Bay earlier this week.

Thursday, the Coast Guard tried unsuccessfully to remove the boat's batteries. Crews will return Friday to try again.

Once all the hazardous material has been removed, the Coast Guard will tow the boat out to sea where it will become the responsibility of the ship's owner.
