The 35-year-old woman told police that she was confronted by a man with a gun in her home in the 3300 block of Tennessee Street at about 6 a.m.
The man demanded money then raped the woman at gunpoint, police said.
He then fled in the victim's car, a dark blue 2010 Hyundai Elantra, which has a Tennessee license plate number of 070XQZ.
The man is described as black, about 25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 180 pounds. He was wearing a white hat with earflaps, a white T-shirt and a white jacket.
