Breast implants linked to rare form of cancer

Federal health officials are investigating a link between breast implants and a rare form of cancer.

13 years of data shows that the cancer has been reported in the scar tissue which grows around an implant. It is known as "anaplastic large cell lymphoma" and it attacks lymph nodes and skin.

The Food and Drug Administration says there are only 60 cases worldwide out of up to 10 million women with breast implants.

Implant makers will be required to update their labels to reflect the cancer cases.
