Investigators are looking into a case of a bizarre attempted arson at a home in Oakland.

A contractor working at a home on 73rd Avenue noticed that someone had unscrewed the bolts to a gas meter and put lit candles on top. The contractor blew out the candles. There was no evidence of a fire.

PG&E replaced the bolts and inspected the gas meter.
