A 7 On Your Side investigation first pointed out the problem years ago, now finally action is being taken. California State Sen. Leland Yee has introduced legislation that goes after mechanics who say they have replaced or repaired airbags, but haven't.
Those convicted would be looking at a $5,000 fine and a year behind bars.
