Jimenez looks sharp for Rockies as they beat the Oakland A's

Ubaldo Jimenez pitched six shutout innings in his final start before opening day and the Colorado Rockies beat the Oakland Athletics 5-2 Sunday.

Jimenez gave up four hits, struck out three and walked none. Four of his five spring starts were scoreless -- he also threw six shutout innings in a minor league game.

Jimenez will start Friday at home against Arizona.

Willy Taveras had three hits and scored twice for the Rockies. Kevin Kouzmanoff had two hits, his third straight multihit game for the A's.
