Job reports show positive signs for the economy

There are some positive signs today for the economy. The ADP National Employment Report says the private sector added more than 201,000 jobs in March. Also today, a new survey of chief executives say a majority of America's largest companies plan to increase hiring in the next six months and they expect sales to rise.

Meantime, Silicon Valley companies are in a hiring frenzy. USA Today reports that companies like Google, Facebook and Twitter are growing fast and hiring at a pace not seen since the internet bubble 10 years ago.

State officials say California added nearly 100,000 jobs in February - mainly due to the tech industry. That reduced the state's unemployment rate to 12.2 percent in February, it was 12.4.
