Oakland scam artist sought by police
OAKLAND, Calif.
Investigators say 70-year-old Carl Talton has approached most of his victims at the 'Pac n Save' on Hegenberger Road and the Home Depot on Alameda Avenue.
He convinces them to donate money to a charity and then pockets the donation. Talton is 5'9 tall, and weighs about 200 pounds.
Police say he's stolen about $40,000.
