The tenants say their landlord Peter Iskander bought the apartment building on Greenwich Street for the purpose of reselling it at a higher price.
Iskander however says he is selling the building because he cannot afford the monthly mortgage payment. All four tenants are in their 70s and say they have nowhere to go.
The tenants' eviction notices have expired and Iskander is now taking them to court in order to force them to leave.
