San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis shared his passion for art with dozens of kids on Friday, painting a mural at the Boys and Girls Club in the Tenderloin.

He also presented the "Vernon Davis visual arts scholarship" to Lowell High School student Sheryl Quock on Friday night at the De Young Museum's "Young At Art" gala.

The scholarship provides tuition support to San Francisco youth interested pursuing a career in visual arts. Davis majored in studio art at the University of Maryland.
