Caltrans had been worked on the massive slide near the San Luis Obispo County Line since April 14. The slide had completely blocked the road between Carmel and Cambria.
Caltrans spent $5 million to remove the rocks and the dirt, a process that involved flying in equipment by helicopter.
Businesses in that area say they're thrilled the road is reopening.
