CNN's parent company Time-Warner has been slapped with a class action lawsuit claiming the network discriminates against people who are deaf and hard of hearing. The lawsuit is the first of its kind in the United States.

The plaintiffs complain that CNN fails to provide captioning for the online videos on its website.

The suit was filed in Alameda County Superior Court by a disability rights center in Berkeley and an Oakland law firm.

CNN issued a short statement Wednesday saying it has not yet been served with the lawsuit so it has no comment.
