Two arrested in triple stabbing in Walnut Creek

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.

Around 8:45 p.m. Monday, a fight broke out between about five men at the Walnut Creek Carwash on N. Main Street near Geary. Two victims were taken to a hospital with stab wounds. A third victim who was later located with a cut on the arm refused medical treatment.

Police searched all Monday night and announced the arrest Tuesday morning. Shocked residents of the bustling area recalled hearing yelling and arguing.

"I was sleep until I heard the commotion," said Maryann Fillari admitting the incident scared her. "After being here a couple years, this is the first time."

"I'm afraid of losing some business because this is bad news for the area," said restaurant owner Amir Tehrani. "And, I hope that police do something about that so it won't happen again to anybody around here, anywhere actually."

The suspects are identified as Jorge and Rojilio Arguetta, possibly brothers, both of Walnut Creek. They were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and are each being held on $50,000 bail. Police, who appeared to still be investigating the incident Tuesday morning, said the two men confessed to the crime.

The two victims are in stable condition after undergoing surgery Monday night.
