SF unions reach tentative agreement on wages

SAN FRANCISCO

The San Francisco Examiner reports that both unions are entitled to wage hikes in the next fiscal year. The tentative agreement is expected to include a 3 percent raise on July 1 but in return, they would increase their pension contributions by three percent. They would still get a one percent raise in the middle of the year.

Union members still have to approve the agreement. The city is facing a $306 million deficit.
