Menlo Park police are investigating three separate copper thefts at the site of Facebook's future headquarters.

Construction crews say someone took the copper from a storage unit and two of the nine vacant buildings on the 57-acre campus on Constitution Drive. The thefts occurred between June 7 and June 22.

The thieves made off with more than 2,000 pounds of copper with a total value of about $8,500.
