Police received a call at about 12:20 a.m. reporting a possible dead body in a vacant gas station at Monument Boulevard and Detroit Avenue, Voerge said.
When investigators arrived, they found the victim dead inside the building. Although police were not releasing information about the nature of the victim's injuries, detectives are investigating the case as a homicide, Voerge said.
As of late this morning, crime scene investigators were still at the scene and the body had not yet been removed.
Voerge said police have not yet identified the victim.
