Scooter sales are up 37 percent in the first five months of this year. The Motorcycle Industry Council says two wheelers can get up to 80 miles to the gallon and that is why they're loved.
The average American pays $177 a month for gasoline versus $20 for those who ride scooters. That adds up to a monthly savings of $150.
