A popular north bay hobby shop is now taking drastic measures to stop shoplifters.
Linda Becker, the owner of Dollhouses, Trains and More in Novato has seen a huge increase in shoplifters, and noticed the thieves seem to be taking bigger and more expensive items.
Becker says she's tried almost everything to curb the thefts, including locking the back door, installing a security system, and even creating a security desk.
Now, she says the store is going to a members-only program, meaning nobody will even get through the door unless they've submitted their drivers license and a membership form.
Becker says it's the only way she can remain in business.
