Police say 20-year old Brandon West of San Francisco grabbed a woman's cell phone at Polk and Francisco Streets on July 22.
A new high-tech camera onboard a taxi at the intersection captured the robbery. The driver had the woman get into his cab and use his cell phone to call police. Police will honor the driver at the police commission meeting Wednesday.
